Our Eye Esthetic Treatments
At Erie Shores Eyecare, we offer eye esthetic treatments to enhance the skin around your eyes and face. Using the InMode IPL (intense pulsed light) and radiofrequency devices, we can provide noninvasive solutions for a refreshed, youthful appearance.
InMode IPL targets skin concerns like dark spots, redness, and uneven skin tone. It effectively treats:

Meet Our Optometrists
Dr. Andrew Hager, Optometrist
Dr. Andrew Hager is originally from Tecumseh and studied Biology at the University of Windsor before graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2000. In his final year, he completed an Ocular Disease and Therapeutics externship at The Eye Institute in New Port Richey, Florida.
After earning his Doctor of Optometry, Dr. Hager began practicing in Essex and Leamington and has been caring for local families ever since.
When he isn’t helping patients, Dr. Hager enjoys spending time with his spouse and 3 small children, including volunteering at his children’s school. He stays active by swimming, biking, and working in the yard. His interests include photography and all things related to science. He also volunteers with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Dr. Hager is always happy to see new and returning patients and can’t wait to get to know you and your family.
Dr. Julie Ricci, Optometrist
Dr. Julie Ricci was born and raised in Leamington and is proud to have the opportunity to help patients in her hometown. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Windsor, Dr. Ricci went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, graduating in 2006. During her doctorate, she completed an externship in Ocular Disease and Therapeutics at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Ricci joined the Erie Shores Eyecare team in 2006 and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her interests include:
- Refractive surgery consultations
- Contact lens fittings
- Cataract diagnosis and management
- Assessing and treating binocular vision problems
She also enjoys treating ocular diseases, including keratoconus, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
Throughout her optometric career, Dr. Ricci has volunteered her optometric services in several countries, including Haiti, India, and Mexico. Whenever she goes on a mission trip, Dr. Ricci organizes eye clinics and brings along hundreds of pairs of gently used eyeglasses generously donated by our patients. Her efforts allow her to provide eye health and vision care to people who might otherwise go without.
When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Ricci spends time with her spouse and 2 grown children. She enjoys running, biking, snorkelling, scuba diving, and visiting local nature trails in Point Pelee National Park.
Dr. Jennie Bacon, Optometrist
Dr. Jennie Bacon grew up in Woodslee and now resides in Kingsville. As a child, Dr. Bacon developed a fascination for math and science, and at 13, decided she wanted to be an optometrist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Windsor before continuing her studies at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012.
During her doctorate, Dr. Bacon completed an externship in Ocular Disease and Therapeutics at the OMNI Eye Specialists in Baltimore, Maryland, and a volunteer internship program with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Dr. Bacon is a full-scope optometrist and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Her interests include binocular vision therapy, ocular disease management, cataract assessments, contact lens fittings, and refractive surgery consultations.
When she isn’t examining patients, Dr. Bacon enjoys spending time with her spouse and young daughter. She loves the great outdoors and has a special interest in plant-based nutrition, as well as hiking, horseback riding, and dog agility training. She loves animals and has fostered several shelter dogs. Her family currently includes a rescued Catahoula Leopard Dog named Toby.
Dr. Jacinta Langlois, Optometrist
Dr. Jacinta Langlois grew up in Essex and now resides in Belle River with her husband. She attended the University of Windsor, where she earned her Bachelor of Movement Science in Kinesiology. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry at Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana. While at Indiana University, Dr. Langlois was selected to be an associate instructor, teaching and demonstrating clinical techniques to underclassmen. Dr. Langlois attended continuing education conferences affiliated with the American Academy of Optometry, where she engaged in lectures from some of the best doctors in the country.
Dr. Langlois has extensive experience with ocular disease as she rotated throughout the United States and engaged in externships at The Villages Veterans Affairs Clinic in The Villages, Florida; John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan; Talley Eye Institute surgical referral center in Evansville, Indiana; and Indianapolis Eye Care Center in downtown Indianapolis. She has special interests in treating and managing ocular diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic & hypertensive retinopathy, cataract assessments & post-op surgical care.
Dr. Langlois graduated in May 2021 and began working at Henry Ford OptimEyes in Troy, Michigan. It wasn’t too long until Dr. Langlois decided she wanted to give back to the community that helped raise her. She is proud to help patients of all ages at the Essex & Leamington locations.
When she isn’t working, she loves being outside and enjoying the nice weather with her husband and family by the pool or on the lake at her family cottage.
Dr. Bailey Robinet, Optometrist
Dr. Bailey Robinet was raised in Amherstburg, Ontario and has aspired to be an optometrist since she was in grade 7. She is very excited to be back in Essex County, providing eye care to our community.
Dr. Robinet attended the University of Windsor, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Distinction. Dr. Robinet went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo and was on the dean’s list. At graduation, she was awarded the AW Cole Award for Clinical Excellence and the Dr. Karen Tompa Nowy Memorial Award in recognition of the exceptional care and concern she showed for her patients’ health and well-being. During her final year of the optometry program, Bailey completed her clinical externships in Salmon Arm, BC and Meadow Lake, SK. After memorable experiences at both of her placements, she decided to return to Meadow Lake to start the first year of her career.
In Northern Saskatchewan, Dr. Robinet provided full-scope optometry. She is passionate about primary care, rural optometry, and ocular disease. Dr. Robinet has special interests in diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, and post-operative care. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is motivated to continue learning and growing as the optometry field advances.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Bailey hiking, bird watching, travelling, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
