Dr. Bailey Robinet was raised in Amherstburg, Ontario and has aspired to be an optometrist since she was in grade 7. She is very excited to be back in Essex County, providing eye care to our community.
Dr. Robinet attended the University of Windsor, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Distinction. Dr. Robinet went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo and was on the dean’s list. At graduation, she was awarded the AW Cole Award for Clinical Excellence and the Dr. Karen Tompa Nowy Memorial Award in recognition of the exceptional care and concern she showed for her patients’ health and well-being. During her final year of the optometry program, Bailey completed her clinical externships in Salmon Arm, BC and Meadow Lake, SK. After memorable experiences at both of her placements, she decided to return to Meadow Lake to start the first year of her career.
In Northern Saskatchewan, Dr. Robinet provided full-scope optometry. She is passionate about primary care, rural optometry, and ocular disease. Dr. Robinet has special interests in diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, and post-operative care. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is motivated to continue learning and growing as the optometry field advances.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Bailey hiking, bird watching, travelling, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
